By participating in the Science Park Graz program, the Medical University of Graz has made the first move into technology transfer. Science Park Graz (SPG) provides professional support and information for students and researchers of turning a good idea into a viable business. This support also includes assistance with infrastructure/office space, loans, and entrepreneur-specific coaching (e.g. sales, project management). Additional partners of this public utility institution are the Graz University of Technology (TUG) and the University of Graz (KFUG).
