Scientific publications IAP was a private research institution and an esa reference lab. Founded in 1994, it pursued applied physiological research with emphasis on gravitational physiology and space medicine. It was listed as a European Space Agency Reference Lab for Bedrest, Hypokinesia, and Metabolic Balances. In 2005, IAP organized the 15th IAA Humans in Space Symposium in Graz, Austria. The Institute stopped its activities in 2010.
