Research Unit "EBM Review Center"

The Research Unit EBM Review Center was established on August 1st, 2009. Prof. Andrea Siebenhofer-Kroitzsch was appointed as the head of the Research Unit.

The declared intention of the Research Unit is the compilation of systematic review work and meta-analyses concerning specific medical questions. The conclusions will not only be a basis for therapeutic decisions in health care, health technology assessments, disease-management programs and guidelines, but will also support active medical professionals with their diagnostic and therapeutic decisions and serve as a basis for the compilation of patient information. Fundamental missions are also the enhancement of methods for the assessment of studies in terms of methodic basic research as well as education and training (SSM Evidence Based Medicine in Practice).

Research Unit "HCI4MED"

In addition to the necessary technological aspects, the Research Unit HCI4MED is engaged in user-centered, psychological aspects of medical information processing. Specifically, individual projects, which can be collectively referred to by the umbrella term "Support of Cognitive Performance by Adaptive Information Systems in Medicine and Health Service", are gathered and coordinated within the Research Unit (see for example EMERGE).
