Core Facility Molecular Biology

The Molecular Biology Core Facility offers infrastructure and expert technical support for the successful application of all key molecular biology techniques. Support is provided throughout the entire research process, i.e. from experimental design to final results.

High quality nucleic acids prepared by semi-automated robotic systems are essential for various critical down-stream methods and guarantee reliable and reproducible data, especially when limited amounts of starting material or only formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissues (FFPE) are available.

We have implemented microarray platforms for full-genome expression profiling (Applied Biosystems) and genome-wide DNA-analysis (Affymetrix) and complemented this technology with low(er)-throuput/high-accuracy real-time platforms.

Optimized Standard Operating Procedures including the evaluation of intermediate results and parameters at critical experimental stages guarantee high quality data output at a competitive price.

It is our mission to provide our research partners and customers with high-quality services during the entire project phases. This includes consultancy in the project/study design phase, development of methods and SOPs for analysis, realization of studies, data analysis and interpretation as well as final reporting.
